1. YAARGH COLLECT THE FACTS TREASURE MAPS, Matey!
Get that FACTS Treasure Map at the entrance and you’ll have a Floor plan + Schedule + Exhibitor List combo. But you can also already check them online. Then you can easily set sail for those activities, savvy?
2. BRING GOOD SHOES
The FACTS universe spans out over all of Flanders Expo, which is more than 50.000 m². So you’ll be doing A LOT of kilometers at this show!
Put on some good walking shoes before you go on your FACTS adventure! Hoverboards are also allowed (but only if you give the FACTS organisation a spin, too). 🙂
3. BRING cash!
Lots of FACTS exhibitors won’t accept credit cards, so bring enough cash to start with. And if you run out of credits, you can always restock at our ATM’s and other financial services at FACTS. No collector’s item will have to be left behind in the Exhibitor Hall!
4. MAKE ROOM ON YOUR CAMERA MEMORY
Bring your camera, because there’s a magic and money shots behind every corner! Huge sci-fi props, cool pop culture decors, thousands of cosplayers,…
In other words, make some room on that camera before you head to FACTS!
5. BAGS ARE ALLOWED
You can bring your backpacks and bags to FACTS!
There seems to be some confusion after the infamous ‘bag ban’ measure in 2016, but those security measures are no longer in effect.
Know that your bags will still have to be checked, though. So the larger the bag, the longer it takes. Take only the necessary objects with you!
6. SHOW YOUR FACTS TICKETS ON YOUR SMARTPHONE
You don’t have to print your ticket.
Showing it on your smartphone is OK too!
Another forest saved, yay!
Warning: cracks in the screen may make scanning difficult, so be careful!
7. TICKETS ARE CHEAPER ONLINE!
Tickets are cheaper in presale. But if you – for some reason – didn’t get yours before the weekend, you can still get them online!
Tickets are most expensive at the FACTS entrance, so get yours online or in presales!
8. BRING YOUR NINTENDO SWITCH & 3ds!
Loads of things to do with your Nintendo Switch & 3DS at FACTS!
- Join the Pokémon Fan Gathering and battle, receive Pokémon & more!
- Head to Nintendo and join tournaments, get goodies & more!
- You can even pimp your console with custom colours and artwork at exhbitor Draw My Pad!
9. COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT
Before you enter FACTS, it’s good to be aware of the do’s and don’ts of the cosplay world.
In short: be respectful and always know that the FACTS cosplayers are just fellow visitors who happen to wear different clothes. So let everyone enjoy themselves and respect each other’s wishes!
