My name is Mérande Hulshof, I live in a beautiful small village surrounded by green meadows, called ‘de Lutte’, in the Netherlands. In my daily life I’m an art teacher at a high school. In the evenings and weekends I try to spend as much time as I can drawing (meanly original) characters.

My style can best be described as glamorous and colorful. I always make sure to save the initial sketch because, I think, these are often as pretty as a finished, more polished artwork.

Disney is a hugh source of inspiration for me just like Barbie and other character designers, visual developers and concept artists.
