One of the most popular and successful figures in comic books, former paratrooper William (Billy) Tucci is best known as the creator, writer and artist of the award winning graphic series Shi.
Through Billy’s self-published Crusade Fine Arts, Ltd., Shi is printed in six languages, has sold over 4 million comic books and grossed 25 million dollars worldwide.
Producer Mimi Polk Gitlin’s Mandolin Entertainment (Trapped) has recently optioned Shi for a major motion picture. He is writing the screenplay with Kevin Bernhardt (Art of War, Black Friday) and will serve as Executive Producer.
Some Trouble of a SeRRious Nature marks Billy’s film debut as Writer, Director and Producer. Produced during 2001/2002, Some Trouble. is the hysterical tale concerning the Second World War’s final days, an unfortunate F4U Corsair fighter plane and the hillbillies who are determined to fly it.
Some Trouble. debuted at the Long Island International Film Expo where it was awarded Best Short Film.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Billy has also created the properties Atomik Angels, Gremlin Effect, Victoria Cross and The Undaunted. He is currently working on the screenplay for his first feature film, The Burning Blue.
Billy resides in Bayport, NY with his wife Deborah and newborn baby boy, William Alexander.
