This British comic artist has so much skill that DC and Marvel both label him as a much appreciated contributor. No wonder, because his work for JLA, Legion of Super-Heroes, Batman, Fantastic Four, Avengers, X-Men and much more are true pieces of art.
Ever since he began his career as an inker with former FACTS Guest Mike Collins, things have skyrocketed for uphill for Mark Farmer. They both became welcome guests making art for Marvel UK and 2000AD.
In 1983, Dave Gibbons invited Mark Farmer to ink a few issues of Green Lantern, which was his true kickstarter for DC and Marvel alike. Since then, he has made notable work for the awesome series mentioned above, among many others.
Fun fact: Mark firmly believes his inks always look better in black and white and unless the colourist is exceptional comics are always diminished in the colouring process. And with good reason. That would be like putting paint on the David of Michelangelo, right?
Want to meet this incredible artist? Then come to FACTS on the 21st and 22nd of October, in Flanders Expo, Ghent! Mark Farmer will be present on both days in the Artist Alley.
