Actress Kaya Scodelario is no stranger to big blockbuster productions. Fans of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge (aka Dead Men Tell No Tales) will remember her fondly as the adventurous and intelligent Carina Smyth, a refreshing and empowering female lead role that earned her praise from press and viewers alike.
She was also one of the main roles in the entire The Maze Runner movie trilogy, as Teresa. With her acting talents – and that of her co-stars – she managed to invest many viewers in this new intriguing universe, from start to end, making the whole production a huge success.
Even more lead roles in Kaya Scodelario’s career include – to name just a few – Effy Stonem in the highly appraised British drama series Skins, Kat Baker in the Netflix original series Spinning Out, Haley in the 2019 horror movie Crawl, Carol Ann Boone in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile – the movie about the infamous American serial killer Ted Bundy – and Hermia Easterbrook in the mystery series The Pale Horse, based off of Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name.
Scodelario’s additional film credits include Shank, Clash of the Titans, Wuthering Heights, Twenty8k, Now Is Good, The Truth About Emanuel with Jessica Biel, Tiger House, and The King’s Daughter with Pierce Brosnan and Benjamin Walker, which does not yet have a release date.
