SHORT BIO

Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig is probably best known as in Vikings as Björn Ironside, the son of Ragnar Lodbrok, a difficult role he portrayed incredibly convincingly. Being part of the main cast in the first season and even surviving the main protagonist Ragnar, he is widely praised for his acting work by critics and fans alike.

He has had a lot of experience in the acting world to back up this performance. At age 8, he set his first acting steps, resulting in him participating in memorable productions. He was Will Stanton in the fantasy movie The Seeker: The Dark is Rising in 2007, and performed next to Dwayne The Rock Johnson in Race to Witch Mountain.

Another big milestone came in 2012, when he portrayed main antagonist Cato in The Hunger Games, for which he won the award for Best Fight on the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and Best Villain at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.

Other notable roles and productions: his lead role of Ace Spade in the wrestling drama Heels (2021), Rocko in the vampire drama Night Teeth (2021), pacifist hacker Dorn in Bad Boys for Life (directed by Belgian duo Adil & Bilall in 2020), ‘surprise son’ Braden in Grown Ups 2, soldier Shane Patton in Lone Survivor (2013), and much more.

Did you know? Alexander Ludwig is also a gifted singer. He released his debut country album in August 2022, called Highway 99.

Alexander Ludwig will be present at FACTS Spring 2023, on Saturday April 1st and Sunday April 2nd, in Flanders Expo Ghent. He will be available for photoshoots, autograph sessions, selfies, and big Q&A shows.
