FACTS presents The Crypts of Cult / Helden van de Wansmaak!

Jan Verheyen – aka the successful director and founder of ‘Nacht van de Wansmaak’ – willingly dives into the very sewers of the movie industry to present the most hilariously bad fantasy, superhero and sci-fi movies out there.

Get ready for a fun and family friendly show filled with feature films and series that perhaps never should have seen the light of day.

How does this relate to 'Nacht van de Wansmaak'?

First of all, a short introduction to Nacht van de Wansmaak. It was a cult movie event that celebrated the absolute low points of movie history. It was first held in 1990 and continued on until 2014. When we say ‘low points’, we’re not even talking about the fifth installment of a yawn inducing franchise. No, we mean the absolute worst of the worst, as if the budget was whatever the director had in his pockets at the time of filming.

Or should we say, ‘best of the worst’, since Jan Verheyen and Jan Doense, aka Max Rockatansky and Mr. Horror respectively, are masters of finding and presenting fragments that are so hilariously bad that they ultimately turn out fantastic. It’s the best example of making giant turds look like masterpieces since Jurassic Park.

Whereas the famous Belgian-Dutch Nacht van de Wansmaak series was mainly focused on horror and the movie industry in a more broad sense, the The Crypts of Cult show at FACTS mainly concentrates on fantasy, superheroes and science fiction. It’s not an official comeback for the original series, but it’ll have the same, erm, ‘quality’ label.

So don’t miss this unique show and join us at FACTS October 2017 in Flanders Expo, Ghent! The shows of The Crypts of Cult will be held on Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of October.
