Acclaimed actress Morena Baccarin has captured the attention and hearts of audiences and critics alike for many moving performances.
For the FACTS fans, she’s probably best known for her role as Inara Serra in Joss Whedon’s critically acclaimed TV show Firefly (2002-2003) and the movie Serenity (2005), set in the same universe. Everyone who has seen this awesome space western is still hoping that the show will return one day, after it was cancelled way too soon back in 2003. The fact that this show still has a strong cult status among many sci-fi fans is undoubtedly thanks to the acting skills of Morena Baccarin and co-star Nathan Fillion, who is also a guest for FACTS Spring Edition 2017.
But that’s not her only great role in a hit series. Not by far. In The Flash, she was the voice of the AI Gideon. In Gotham, she played Leslie Thompkins. Morena Baccarin also portrayed the adult version of Adria, a recurring villain Stargate SG-1, a role she reprised in the movie Stargate: The Ark of Truth. Furthermore, she was Erica Flynn in The Mentalist, Jessica Brody in Homeland, Isobel Swift in The Good Wife, Anna in ABC’s sci-fi drama V – in which her character shapeshifted between being a beautiful woman and an extraterrestrial alien when crossed, by the way. Cool stuff! – Nurse Jessica Kivala in Heartland, Sara Samari in Las Vegas, Chloe in How I Met Your Mother, Maya Griffin in The O.C,… Need we go on? Because we can!
On the movie front: Morena Baccarin most recently portrayed Vanessa aka Copycat, the girlfriend of Deadpool in the 2016 picture Deadpool. She was Karen Walker in Spy (2015), Laurie Miller in Back in the Day and she starred in many more movies.
