Lee Bermejo is self-taught, with little formal art training.
Bermejo is best known for his work with award-winning author Brian Azzarello with whom he collaborated on the Lex Luthor: Man of Steel limited series in 2005 and the Joker graphic novel in 2008.
‘Resident Evil: Fire & Ice’ was a 4-issue series in 2000, with a story that centres around the S.T.A.R.S. Charlie team division, as they are sent to investigate a circus contaminated by the G-Virus. For Bermejo this was the second Resident Evil title he had worked on.
Bermejo both wrote and drew the Batman: Noël graphic novel in 2011, re-imagining Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol, Batman-styled.
He and Azzarello worked together again on the Before Watchmen: Rorschach limited series in 2012-2013.
In 2015, Bermejo will launch an ongoing series for Vertigo titled Suiciders.
