Goran Sudžuka is a comic book artist and illustrator known for his work on Y: The Last Man, Hellblazer: Lady Constantine and Outlaw Nation. Previous clients include DC Comics, Delcourt, Image, Marvel and others. He lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
Born in 1969 in Zagreb, Croatia, Sudzuka graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design, Zagreb in 1988. He began his work in animation at Zagreb Film and in the 1990s he collaborated with Darko Macan on Albert the Butler, a series of short horror stories published in Croatia and Germany, as well as Svebor and Plamena, a teenage soap-opera that won the award for Best Realistic Comic in Croatia, 1997.
In 1999 he began working for DC Vertigo, co-creating Outlaw Nation with writer Jamie Delano, which won him the Russ Manning Award for Most Promising Newcomer at the 2001 Eisner Awards. He illustrated the four-part series Hellblazer: Lady Constantine, written by Andy Diggle, an album from the series L’Histoire secrète for Delcourt, collaborated on Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra ‘s Y: The Last Man, illustrated a Hellblazer spin-off Chas: The Knowledge written by Simon Oliver, and two issues of the regular Hellblazer series written by Peter Milligan. In recent years he illustrated ADD, a graphic novel written by Douglas Rushkoff (DC/Vertigo 2012) and two issues of Jason Aaron’s Wolverine. In 2013 he illustrated the mini series Ghosted with Joshua Williamson (Skybound) and collaborated on Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s Wonder Woman (DC Comics).
In recent years he has mainly worked on Marvel books, currently on Daredevil written by Charles Soule.
